Most builders claiming a town have done one job there. We have five completed custom homes in Canton, and every photograph on this page is of a house we finished. Two on Norman and three on Dalton, each with a different elevation and a different interior decision — dark board-and-batten, two-tone brick, full brick with an arched entry, white stone with a deep green kitchen, and painted brick with exposed beams.

Building this far out has real advantages and a couple of traps. Land is materially cheaper than anywhere in the Metroplex and lots are bigger. But much of the area is unincorporated, which changes who reviews the plans, and septic, well and utility runs become line items rather than assumptions. Access is the one people miss — plenty of good acreage has no practical way to get a concrete truck where the slab goes. We check that first.
